Warranty Period For services provided by any Repco Authorised Service workshop, the warranty is for a period of 12 months or 20,000kms (whichever comes first) from the date of your invoice. Claims If you need to make a claim under the warranty, please contact the Repco Authorised Service workshop that originally completed the work on your vehicle. The workshop where the work was originally performed will be responsible for responding to and accepting claims. If the original workshop can't help, they may authorise another workshop in the network to assist. Terms and Conditions What does the warranty cover? The Repco Authorised Service workshop will have the option of reperforming, replacing or repairing the good or service if it is or becomes defective during the warranty period, at no additional charge.
a.       Where the good or service is replaced, repaired or reperformed pursuant to this warranty, the replacement good or reperformed service will be subject to the terms of this warranty commencing on the date of the original invoice.
b.       If you request for a good to be repaired, your Repco Authorised Service workshop may choose to replace the good with a refurbished good of the same type. The warranty will cover any reasonable diagnosis or scanning fees conducted by the relevant Repco Authorised Service workshop, if such goods or services are later found to be defective. If the work done on your vehicle involves the supply of services from another service provider nominated by the Repco Authorised Service centre, the warranty offered by such service provider will replace this Nationwide Warranty to the extent of such goods .  The Repco Authorised Service centre will advise you of the terms and conditions of such warranty. The rights and obligations under this warranty remain solely with the original Repco Authorised Service workshop that provided you with the product or service. The benefit of this warranty is personal to you and is not transferable. What does the warranty not cover? This warranty does not cover: normal wear and tear and consumable goods such as globes, wipers, and fluids; loss of any data stored in your vehicle like music or phone numbers; and any incidental loss or damage caused by the defect, such as towing fees, loss of profits, loss of use and loss of goodwill or other loss or damage that cannot reasonably be considered to arise normally. This warranty is void if the defect is a consequence of misuse, neglect, abuse, incorrect operation or improper maintenance of the vehicle, accident, or other use that is not otherwise caused by a Repco Authorised Service workshop. How to submit a warranty claim Step 1: Have your original invoice ready. Step 2: Ensure that you make your claim within the warranty period. Step 3:  Please contact the Repco Authorised Service centre that carried out the relevant repairs or maintenance on your vehicle. Their contact details are on  your original invoice.  Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law The goods and services acquired from a Repco Authorised Service workshop comes with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled: to cancel your service contract with us; and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods. If a failure with the goods or a service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done, you are entitled to a refund for the goods and to cancel the contract for the service and obtain a refund of any unused portion. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage from a failure in the goods or service.

It is important to remember that brake noises are not only caused by normal wear and any unusual noises anywhere in your car should always be investigated by a qualified professional mechanic. When it comes to Brake Maintenance, you should never take a risk. If you're not sure if your brake maintenance is absolutely 100% - call a professional like Burmack without delay. Brake Maintenance - Brake Pads Some things are best left to experienced mechanics and this is one of them. You should never let anyone but a qualified professional touch something as key to your safety as your braking system. Brake pads compress against your brake rotors to create friction which is then used to make your car stop. Unfortunately, this friction also gives of a large amount of heat, which eventually begins to wear the brake pads down over time, making the pads less effective at performing this crucial function. A "Squealing" or "Screeching" sound when you apply your brakes is generally an indication that your brake pads are due for a change as many pads have a small metal piece implanted in them designed to deliberately scrape on the disc when your brake pads are wearing out, alerting you that the pads need attention. You shouldn't wait until you hear such noises to get your pads checked and ideally should have your brakes inspected at every service. We offer a Free Vehicle Inspection Report with every car service. As part of our Vehicle Inspection Report we inspect the brake pads for signs of wear and will tell you if they need replacing. We can also recommend the right pad for your driving style and conditions. Car brake pads can generally last anywhere between 15,000 to 70,000 km's but this estimate can vary considerably based on a number of variable such as regularly hauling heavy loads, you particular driving style and local conditions.  If your brake pads are wearing out prematurely your Burmack mechanic might advise using a heavier duty or heat resistant brake pad better suited to your vehicle or your requirements. Larger vehicles such as 4wds, SUV's, light commercials, and trucks often require heavy duty brake pads to cope with the additional load placed on them by the vehicles' larger mass. Vehicles that often tow heavy loads are also good candidates for a heavy duty brake pad upgrade. Brake Maintenance - Fluid Flushing Brake fluid provides the pressure needed by the brake pads to stop your car. It also helps prolong the lifespan of your various brake components by helping to prevent corrosion. Most people know that it is imperative to keep the brake fluid level topped up, but did you know that you should also have the entire system flushed regularly to replace old brake fluid and prevent excessive moisture in the fluid? Simply because it looks clean doesn't mean your brake fluid is actually in good condition. Moisture can accumulate in the brake fluid and it's not always noticeable in a visual inspection. Moisture in the fluid increases the chance the fluid will boil, which could result in a loss of braking pressure. A visual inspection is not sufficient to identify excess moisture in your brake fluid. Some things are best left to the experts and this is one of them.
